ELAC
ELAC UniFi Series
ELAC was established in Germany in 1926 and is one of the grand old brands in the high fidelity equipment industry. My first "real" turntable was an ELAC Miracord in the 1970's. They have been absent from the American market for decades but are back with a vengeance due in large part to the addition of Andrew Jones, world renowned designer at KEF and TAD, whose products have long been a favorite among well heeled music lovers and audiophiles - and always a high point at CES shows.
Now Andrew is providing his vast design experience to a range of new ELAC speakers ranging from a few hundred dollars to $5000 per pair, and the value is incredible at every price point. The $2500 Adantes have more than a little in common sound wise with a $40K pair of TAD's I used to love. In addition, ELAC has brought their first turntable in many years to market - and it's a sweetheart.
